Crochet Chain Cowl        Skill Level: Beginner
You'll get plenty of compliments on this unique project. Pick a plain yarn or a fun print to do a really long chain that is then wrapped many times around to the length of your choice. You'll then learn how to bind it together and accent your creation with a great button or two. So fun!

Shawl Collar Cowl                    Skill Level: Intermediate

Get ready for Winter with the Shawl Collar Cowl! A simple idea with an added twist. Shawl collars are so flattering and they keep your neck very warm. It's both practical and attractive! Also, this cowl is a perfect way for you to show off some special buttons! Students will learn short rows while keeping in pattern.

Spatterdash Mitts          Skill Level: Intermediate

Here is the perfect solution to chilly hands yet the fingers are free. In Minnesota these are a practical indoor option and most often an impractical outdoor option. As long as the winter is cold we can look good with these feminine mitts. The pattern by Dagmar Mora is free from knitty.com. It is knit flat, with fingering weight yarn. There are endless choices in sock yarn at the shop.

Learn How to Knit        Skill Level: Introductory

Learn all the basics of knitting. This is the class for you if you’ve never picked up a pair of needles or if it’s been way too long since you’ve tried. You will learn to cast-on, knit, purl, increase, decrease and cast-off. Let us guide you on your journey into fun with all kinds of project ideas & different fibers. Ages 8 and up welcome.

Boot Socks on 9” Circular Needles
                 Skill Level: Advanced Beginner

Want to knit socks but you don’t like double pointed needles? Here is your answer: 9” circular needle. You only need to use the double pointed needles on the toes. No laddering, and so fast. This is a great first sock project. You will learn picking up stitches, short rows, and decreasing.

               9” circular needle (size 3-6, we will do a gauge the first class)

Beginning Rigid Heddle Weaving       Skill Level: Introductory

Learn the basics of the rigid heddle loom and get going on scarves, table runners, shawls, pillow covers and more. The rigid heddle loom is portable so you can take your project with you anywhere. In this 2 session class, students will learn the direct warping technique and will weave a worsted wt. winter scarf. Schacht Cricket looms will be provided for class with a $50 refundable deposit. This class is a great way to find out if weaving is for you!

Pin Loom Weaving               Skill Level: Introductory

A pin loom is a tiny loom with tremendous possibilities. The Zoom Loom is easy to take with you-- weave anywhere, any time. Experiment with an idea and see the result in less than fifteen minutes. And they're FUN! Class #1 introduces the Loom and gives you an opportunity to build your pin loom weaving skills while creating a Winter White Loom Bloom. (for the February course, a "Rose Red Loom Bloom") Class #2 allows each weaver to explore a number of project choices including cell phone case, water bottle holder or soft bowl while teaching joining and finishing techniques.
