FRENCH KNITTER JEWELRY
Remember “Spool Knitting” as a kid? Well here is the grown-up, dressed-up version. The French Knitter is similar in construction but with 3 different peg tops. That means that you can use different thickness of yarn or ribbon to create with. For this workshop you will learn the basic stitch to create beautiful beaded bracelets or necklaces. These make a great quick gift for all of the women in your life. You will need a French Knitter Tool, ribbon yarn, beads, magnetic clasp and a size 20 darning needle.
Skill Level: Beginner

WEEKEND WRAP VEST
Want a really cool wardrobe piece that adds style but not warmth? You barely know that you have it on. The Weekend wrap is a vest-type garment that can be worn two different ways. It is loosely knit on a size 15 or 17 needle (your choice) and goes quite fast. You may want to knit a few. Our sample is made out of a cord-like yarn called Summer Tweed and Peggy is starting a new one out of Plymouth Kudo. Students need to know the basics of knitting before taking this class, cast on, cast off, knit stitch.
Skill Level: Beginner

HIDDEN FALLS SCARF
This beautiful scarf is somewhat of a puzzle. It starts off knit in the round with just knit and purl stitches and turns into a scarf with rippling floats between knitted columns and flowing fringe on the ends. You will impress everyone when you tell them that you made it yourself. Our sample was made with 1 hank of Viva Glitz, but you could also use 2 balls of Venedig or 2 balls of Maciabo. You will need a Size 7 - 24 inch circular needle and 2 different stitch markers. Students will need to know the basics of knitting before taking this class; cast on, cast off, knit stitch, and purl stitch.

Learn four different accessories using fun, novelty yarns. These necklaces and scarves will add a little flair to your wardrobe. Simple stitches and easy techniques bring beautiful results. Once you have taken the class you will be able to use up some of the novelty yarns in your stash, too. For both knitters and crocheters. You will need an I hook, pair of size 6, 7 or 8 needles, a ball of “Ladder Yarn”, other small amounts of novelty yarn, and one ball of a Ruffle yarn.

We have really enjoyed playing with the new “tee shirt” yarn called “Noodles”. It takes only 2 balls to make this cute, useful basket. It’s great for holding all kinds of treasures. With only a few simple stitches and a big hook, you will have it done in no time. You will need 2 balls of Noodles yarn, size N crochet hook and a safety pin. Students need to know the basics of crochet before taking this class, chain, and single crochet.

It’s done on a size 15 needle in a sideways knit increasing on one side only to the widest point and then decreasing down to the other end. We’ve used a ladder-type ribbon yarn for our samples. You will need size 15 needles, straight or circular and one ball Beautiful or 2 balls Felicity. Students need to know the basics of kitting before taking this class, cast on, cast off, knit st, and purl st.
